The online visual tips at our new website "www.woodiesdiy.tv" cover all areas of DIY and range from the simple tasks such as “How to paint a wall” to more complicated tasks such as “How to install a two-way switch”, “How to fix a leaking tap” and “How to lay laminate flooring”.
There is also a range of useful videos entitled “How to choose” which will guide customers through the task of shopping for DIY accessories, which can be daunting to first time DIY’ers.
These videos are presented by real DIY experts Trevor Goulden, Ruth Smith and Les Swarbrigg who talk through each step in great detail, making DIY tasks easy to understand and achievable even for a DIY novice.

Woodie’s DIY has also introduced QR technology in-stores to make the videos more accessible for customers, when shopping in-store. Throughout Woodie’s DIY stores customers can now find dedicated bar codes in the aisles, which will direct customers to the DIY clips relevant to the product they are browsing.
Customers can download a QR code reader app on their Smartphone and scan the QR code located on the sign and will instantly be able to view the DIY hints and tips videos.

“The online visual tips are a great resource for people looking to complete DIY tasks themselves and have been developed from the regular queries we are getting in our stores on a daily basis. We find that people have less money to spend hence they are willing to tackle both the bigger and smaller DIY jobs themselves to save on the costs of a handyman. Customers can access these tips from their own computer or use their smartphone to scan the QR codes in store."
“Woodie’s DIY will continue to add useful tips to this online website in order to build on the library of visual advice to our customers. There is nothing better than seeing how the job is done and we hope it will encourage more customers to pick up the hammer, brush or drill”.
“We have introduced this technology to make DIY more accessible for all those customers who would like to give it a try but don’t know how. These videos will guide them through many DIY tasks around the home and garden with great ease. We are committed to expanding our business, identifying and meeting the needs of our extensive customer base.”
