Ensure that the surface is sound and free from grease and dust. Do not apply below 5° Celsius or above 25° Celsius.
Whichever brand you choose, read instructions carefully.
Put on disposable gloves.
Remove the cap with the top of the can held away from your face.
Screw the applicator nozzle onto the valve. Do not bend the applicator or use excessive force.
Moisten the area to be filled.
Shake the can vigorously for 15 seconds before use.
It can be applied with the can held at any angle but for optimum results turn the can upside down and apply pressure to the applicator nozzle.
Start at the lowest point of the gap or cavity and work upwards taking care not to overfill as the foam will expand to fill the remainder.
Foam expansion can be optimised by occasionally moistening during application with a fine mist.
Stop applying and shake at regular intervals during application.
The foam will be tack free from 5 minutes and can be cut and sanded from 30 minutes.
If you are cutting around pipes be careful not to damage the pipe. The foam will be fully cured from 12 hours depending on the area that has been filled.
Sand off any remaining residue for an even finish.
Cured foam must be coated if it is to be exposed to sunlight.
