Woodie's DIY will show you how to repair a leaking gutter. This is handy to know as continued overspill can damage the connected wall of your house.

How to do it

Step 1

Step 1

If you have a leaking gutter a great product for fixing this is Tec7 or a similar product in our store. Insert into your sealant gun and cut the nozzle to the size required.

Step 2

Step 2

Remove any leaves or silt from the gutter that could have caused it to sag or block in the first place and ensure there is no dirt left in the joint.

Step 3

Step 3

Apply the Tec7 sealant to the leaking joint. The advantage of Tec7 is that it also actually works underwater, so you don’t have to wait for the gutter to be dry or free from water.

Step 4

Step 4

Once the leak has repaired check to see if there are any loose or wrongly positioned brackets that caused the gutter to sag.
