Decide where you are going to place the shower riser on the wall and mark where you will be drilling into the tile.
Use a multi-purpose detector to make sure there are no wires or pipes running behind where you are going to drill.
Remove the escutcheon plates and place the riser against the wall where you have marked. Mark the screw holes on the tile with a pencil. Place masking tape over these to prevent the drill bit slipping and then re-mark the screw holes on the tape. Use a spirit level to make sure your markings are in line.
Make sure the drill is not set to hammer action, as this may crack your tile. Drill the holes using the tile bit on your drill. Remember safety first – always wear safety goggles when drilling.
Remove the masking tape from wall. Insert suitable wall plugs into your hole, ideally past the depth of the tile and then screw your first bracket into the wall plugs. Attach the shower riser and fix the first escutcheon in place.
Ensure your second escutcheon is in place before screwing in the second bracket.
Fix the second escutcheons on the bracket.
Place the showerhead into position.
