Get familiar with the wall you are working on. Check to see if it’s a solid wall or plasterboard. Use a multi-purpose detector to determine if there are any hazards behind where you are drilling.
Hold the U-channel of the bath screen in position against the wall at a 40mm depth from the edge of the bath. You may have to cut away any existing silicone or beading to ensure the U-channel sits flush with the bath. Use a spirit level to ensure it is level.
When you are happy the U-channel is vertically level, mark the position of the screw holes on the wall.
Drill holes into the tiles where you have marked using a tile drill bit. The tile drill bit has a special tip for precision drilling. Insert rawl plugs into the holes, ideally past the depth of the tile.
Place a bead of sealant along the back of the U-channel and then hold in position.
Secure the U-channel with appropriate screws and fixings. Seal the bottom of the U-channel to the bath with sealant.
Fit rubber seal to the bottom of glass screen and then insert the screen into the U-channel.
Position the screen so it sits on the bath. Drill pilot holes into the screen frame using the guide holes in the U-channel, you may need somebody to hold the screen in place while you do this. Secure the screen in place with screws. Place cover cap over the U-channel and screws.
If there’s a handle, fix it to the bath screen at this stage.
